When is the best time to sell?

Right now, with summer ending, many clients are asking me if they missed the best opportunity to sell.

In general, the highest volume of buyers look for homes starting in April and ending around school time in August.

Thankfully, while it is true that you miss out on the biggest volume of buyers, it’s still not a bad time to sell for a few reasons.

1. Notwithstanding any further fluctuations in the market, according to market statistics in the Houston area, the biggest impact to selling in the off-season has been longer days on the market - 7 days longer to be exact.

2. The silver lining with selling is there are generally less homes available for purchase, so that coupled with less buyers, makes for a more balanced market.
